Owner's comments

1. Cottage has been entirely renovated in 2008 but is still retaining the distinctive character of this stone facade house constructed at the end of the 19th century.

2. The house is entirely insulated with mineral wool, including the roof of the 1st floor. Moreover, acoustic insulation has been added in the party walls of both bedrooms and bathroom of the 1st floor.

3. The bathroom, the powder-room with one original brick wall and the kitchen have been entirely renovated and now offer up-to-date comfort.

4. Beautiful oak stairs with forged steel banister give access to the first floor. Doors, doorframes and baseboards are new but have been shaped and stained in order to preserve the distinctive character of these old houses. 

5. The roof has been done this year and has a ten year warranty. A natural gas fireplace, a central air conditioner, electrical baseboard heaters with individual electronic controls, Internet/telephone connexions in each room and many other devices insure total comfort.

6. A patio constructed in the backyard insures cleanliness, privacy and comfort, together with security given by a six foot high fence surrounding it.

7. The district which has distinctive character and is now booming, offers many interesting facilities namely: 10 minutes from Downtown Montreal, 5 minutes from Atwater Market, 5 minutes walking distance from Verdun Hospital, 5 minutes walking distance to two parks, 5 minutes walking distance to Metro Charlevoix, 7 minutes walking distance to Lachine Canal, a few minutes on bicycle to the St-Lawrence River shore trail and a few minutes walking distance to many stores (IGA, hardware, grocery and many others).
