We love our house! Sitting mid-hill above Beeler Lake, a ten minute paved drive to Annapolis Royal or Bear River, our two-story country retreat commands a restful view of woodlands and water that has slowed the pace and calmed the souls of our family and friends for the last 36 years.
These 119 mostly woodland acres feature 2500' of undisturbed lake frontage, a barefoot walk from our cedar-shingled century home. If swimming, canoeing, hiking, gardening is your idea of exercise and easy living, think of snow-shoeing, skating or x-country skiing on your own winter trails or... having a hobby farm or... soaking in the majesty of a star-studded, smog-free nightscape...
The core of our house dates back to the mid-1820s when Frederick Beeler built a modest home for his new bride. Original beams, joists and wide-board flooring are still extant, although the house has undergone many renovations and updates over the years, including a major addition in 1990.
This property includes a barn/garage (w/ electric & water) and a storage shed in the garden area. There are fields enough to support a modest hobby farm and wood lands for harvest of sawlogs and firewood.
